We have three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, named Kevin, Duncan,
and Molly. They are registered with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Club as Sylvancrest Kevin, Rivermead Duncan, and Lovejoy Jean
Harlow.

Cavaliers are great dogs, just the right size, wonderful temperament,
cute as can be. But the breed has a troubled lineage. All bloodlines,
every one, carries genes for serious and deadly mitral valve
disorders. Many dogs have problems with hips and patellas. And
some have issues with syringomyelia, a disorder of the spinal cord that
causes severe pain. If you are interested in getting one of these dogs,
do your homework.

We also have a foundling, a husky cross,
named Honi-honi. She is an amazing kisser,
climber, eater, and runner. Wonderful girl
but high maintenance.

We love our dogs, and other than
occasional flights of fancy, are pretty
realistic about the problems we face as a
multi-dog family. They are great
companions and a real responsibility.
