Clergy Services
We are both Deacons in the Episcopal Church. Episcopal Deacons are clergy, and are
permitted to marry and bury. While Priests are shepherds who tend the flock, pastors of
churches, Deacons focus on serving the needs of the world at large. Our ordination vows
require us to be the interface between the world's needs and church's love.
Chris has been involved with education, fund-raising, supporting those who are dying,
and using her professional skills on boards of directors. She is currently working with St
John's Parish in Clayton. Trish has been involved with healing, birthing, and using her
professional skills in training and education. She is not involved in a parish right now.
When we perform weddings or commitment ceremonies, we provide thorough premarital
counseling, to provide tools every couple needs to have a successful marriage. Often,
two people who love each other have different spiritual practices. We discuss this, finding
the areas of common ground and learning to communicate about the differences.
Together, we create a liturgy that tells the story of your relationship and dreams.
With funerals, we design a ceremony that reflects the beliefs and experiences of the
person who died and those who remain here to grieve the loss and celebrate the life of
those who have passed over. We also offer grief counseling to support families and
friends through the transition.
We have served at several parishes in Northern California and the Bay Area.
